9th Annual "Tour de Toys"

When: December 8, 2018
Where: Crank Arm Brewery 319 W. Davie St., Raleigh, NC

Join us in this 9th annual bike ride to collect new toys for the Raleigh Women's shelter. We brave the December weather to venture out on a 12 or 6 mile bike ride via Raleigh Greenways with Historic sites along the way. In addition to the bike rides, we will also have a 1 mile dog walk. All we ask is that participants bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Raleigh Woman's shelter so the children can enjoy a gift from Santa!!

RIDE INFORMATION
Rides will begin and end at Crank Arm Brewing. HELMETS REQUIRED
Each ride will have a group leader and sweeper, so there is little chance of getting lost. The routes will include neighborhood streets, Raleigh greenways with several downtown landmarks.

6 mile ride
The 6 mile ride is geared towards family's and kids as meanders thru historic parts of Raleigh.

12 mile ride
The 12 Mile ride starts at Crank Arm and stops briefly at the NC Museum of Art via Greenways and meanders back to CrankArm. This ride does have several steep hills so be prepared to tackle those hills and be able to comfortably ride 12 miles.

DOG WALK
The dog walk starts and ends at Crank Arm. The walk will be led by a professional dog walker and will pass some scenic places as well. Please be considerate clean up after your buddy!! WELL BEHAVED, LEASHED DOGS ONLY.

After the events, we'll meet back up at Crank Arm for a post-ride get together with some hand crafted Crank Arm beers for the adults and kid-friendly beverages for the little ones. Stick around and have a bite to eat after the ride and hang around for the raffle ..did I say beer?  We will also have a food truck (BBQ)! COSTUME CONTEST
Show us your best costume for a chance to win some awesome, handcrafted trophies! We will have the crowd vote for the best naughty and nice costumes and most festive pup. Winners will be announced after the rides/walk.

Event Timeline
9:00 am - On-site registration and toy drop-off open; coffee and breakfast treats will be available
10:00 am - 12 mile group ride starts

11:00 am - dog walk starts
12:00 pm (approximate) - post ride/walk festivities, announcement of costume contest winners
