Rho Announces Fifth Year as Smile Train Triathlon Title Sponsor

The RTP-based Contract Research Organization will continue to show its support at the charity’s 13^th annual event in Wake Forest
 
Research Triangle Park, NC  ̶  February 17, 2020  ̶  Rho, an RTP-based full-service contract research organization (CRO) focused on bringing new products to market through a complete range of product development services, today announced it is the 2020 Title Sponsor of the 13th annual Smile Train Triathlon, taking place Sunday, June 28 in Wake Forest, North Carolina. This is the fifth year in a row that Rho will be the title sponsor for the event.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. Cleft repair surgery is simple, and the transformation is immediate.  However, millions of children in developing countries with unrepaired clefts continue to have difficulty eating, breathing and speaking. Smile Train’s sustainable model provides the training and funding needed to empower local doctors in more than 85 developing countries to provide 100 percent free cleft repair surgery in their communities.

The 13^th annual Rho Smile Train Triathlon will take place on Sunday, June 28, at 8 a.m. in the Heritage community of Wake Forest, North Carolina. The event is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned race, comprised of a 250-yard pool swim, 12-mile bike and a 3.1-mile run. Since 2008, the race has generated over $320,000 in donations, with race organizers hoping to reach $340,000 this year.
