RACE COURSES
The 0.6 mile triangular clockwise swim in Jordan Lake at Vista Point Recreational Area. The Half will do 2 loops of the course and the odd distance 1 lap. The swim start will be at the boat ramp then head north in the lake.
The 56 mile bike course - The 56 mile bike course will roll through Chatham and Lee County near and around Jordan Lake area. The course will feature some fast flat areas but also some rolling design. The last 15-20 miles feature a few challenging hills, so don't blow out the legs early in the ride. There will be 2 water bottle handoffs on the bike course around mile 18 and 36. The Odd distance bike course will make a right turn on Old US 1 then rejoin the course on Moncure Pittsobor Road.
The 13.1 mile run course - The 13.1 mile run course will be a 2 loop out and back course. The course will feature a some rolling hills and small inclines. The run course will be all on pavement. Water stations will be located every mile, so you will have plenty of hydration on the course. The Odd distance will run 1 loop of the run course 6.55 miles.
Water stops will be stocked with water, gatorade, hammer gels, coke, gummy bears and sponges (if hot). Please put all trash near the water station to keep the area clean.
The race course revolves around a transition area at Vista Point Recreational Area at Jordan Lake. The transition area is in the field next to the sailboat launch and beach access. The same transition area will be used for all phases. The transition area will open at 6:00 am; ALL bikes need to be placed in position before the transition area closes at 7:15 am. The finish line is in the parking lot next to the transition area.
Parking allowed only in designated spots in the recreational area. Please do not park on the side of any road or in the grass.

Swim 1 hour and 30 minutes
Bike 5 hours from your start time
Total 8 hours from your start time
Race officials reserve the rights to pull anyone of the course that will not meet the time requirements.
