2021 New Downtown Wake Forest Courses

We are excited to announce an all-new 5K and 10K courses located in downtown Wake Forest.   This is the only 10K to start and stop in downtown Wake Forest and the last event of the year!   These courses offer a great tour of downtown, nearby neighborhoods, and also a small part of the Wake Forest trail system on the 5K.

Course Description

The courses show the diversity of Wake Forest's landscape; from historic downtown, newly developed neighborhoods, and greenway system.  Each course showcases many of the focal points of Wake Forest, including the Glen Royal Mill District, Flaherty Park, Wake Forest Historic District, Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Chevrolet Building, and W.W. Holding Cotton Exchange Warehouse.

The start/finish line will be located near 223 E. Owen Street, Wake Forest, NC

After the race is over, spend the morning shopping downtown and visiting all the fantastic local stores.

Water Stations:

There will be one water station on the 5K about halfway.  There will be two water stations roughly every two miles on the 10K.  We encourage anyone concerned with the contact of water bottles or cups to carry and bring their own supply.

Porta-Potties: Located at the start/finish line.

Parking:

There will be plenty of parking at local town-owned parking lots and streets. We are asking that our participants respect local private business parking lots and find other alternatives.

See the map below or click map for Town of Wake Forest Information on Downtown Parking.

Time Limit:

Runners will have a time limit of 2 hours: 10K 10:00 AM and 5K 10:15 AM

Any runners remaining on the course after the time limit will no longer be considered race participants and will be required to follow pedestrian laws. Official times, medals, and post-race amenities cannot be guaranteed for runners who finish after the time limit.
