Race Description

This is the last stop of the "Inside-Out Sports 4 City Duathlon Series"

The race will take place at Thomas Brooks Park off Green Level Church Road which is also home to USA Baseball.

The long course run will be 2.5 miles out and back completed twice with small rolling hills through the park and local communities.  The second segment of the run will mirror the first run with aid stations right outside the transition area and at the 2nd run turnaround.  The short course will be out and back 2.5 miles.

The bike course will ride along many familiar roads to local cyclists including a favorite “Big Woods Road”.  The ride will feature fast, flat, rolling and climbing sections and multiple views of Lake Jordan.  The short course bike will take a right turn at Farrington Road and then a another right on Martha's Chapel Road on the original long course.

The race course revolves around a transition area located within Thomas Brooks Park . The same transition area will be used for all phases. The transition area will open at 7am; ALL bikes need to be placed in position before the transition area closes at 8:45am.

Zeta Tau Alpha

The Iota Phi chapter of the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation is the 211th link out of 237 links around the country. On February 4, 1989 the Iota Phi chapter was established at NCSU. Since then, the Iota Phi chapter has been ranked in the top 5 chapters in the nation and has repeatedly received honors and awards from International Office. In the past five years, ZTA has been one of eight sororities to be nominated for “best sorority” at NC State.

Our members continually receive awards from Greek Life for their relentless dedication to their studies and involvement around campus. The Iota Phi chapter has been NC State Homecoming Champions in 2005 and again in 2007! For the past two years ZTA has been Greek Week champions meanwhile, for the past nine years ZTA has held the 1st place trophy for winning Derby Days, the competitive philanthropy event benefitting the Frankie Lemmon School of Raleigh! Each year ZTA raises more money than any other chapter on campus for our philanthropy through our annual Crown Classic golf tournament in the fall and our annual Spaghetti dinner in the spring! Zeta Tau Alpha also always supports other sororities on campus in their fundraising endeavors, such as Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash and Alpha Delta Pi's Ron-a-Thon!
