Testimonials

I wanted to take a minute to thank FS Series for your outstanding work when timing our two fall races. We had the pleasure of working with all three partners of FSLLC, and could not have been more pleased. Consider the information below as a letter of reference to share with your future clients.

At the Ford's Colony 5k and 10k event we had two separate starting lines, and three mini-waves in each race. All of the starts occurred over a 6 minute span. Jason Biggs handled this complex start without a single issue. We also had a clearly marked finish line area that was well manned. As a race committee we only had to provide a person to help with back up timing (not dozens of timing volunteers). Jason began posting printed results within three minutes of the first finishers. They constantly updated the results as more came across the line. I have never seen results posted so quickly at an event. To make things even better, the final results were posted online, before they even left the race site! By the time people got home from the race, the results were waiting for them. WOW! That is truly a first for any race I have been involved with.

We next worked with FS Series at the Medoc Trail Races. This event includes a 10-miler and a Marathon, again with two different start times. Once again they handled the start flawlessly, and were in position to produce immediate printed results as the finishers arrived. We had a few issues with some incorrect birthdates due to our error, but FS Series was able to make the adjustment during the race to ensure the results would be accurate. Where other events shut down timing when there are only a few runners left, Marc Primanti and Brent Dorenkamp did not pack up a single item until the last marathoner happily crossed the line. Trust me, this runner took note of this and emailed later to say, "Usually, [timers] are busy packing up. . . or gone! Please pass my appreciation along to them."

If you are looking for event timers, the Rocky Mount Endurance Club gives a strong recommendation that you consider FS Series. We were able to manage our event without any worries regarding timing. Trust me, there are enough things to worry about on race day. Where other timing companies require lots of volunteers to support just the timing, FS Series is efficient and able to get things done with only one to two backup timers. There is clearly more than just one chip timing company in Raleigh and Eastern North Carolina area now. Give FS Series a try at your next event. You will not be disappointed.

FS Team,

Ran my second FS Triathlon today at Lake Royale and just like Mayo Lake you guys did a great job! I wanted to comment specifically about your volunteers and staffing at road intersections along the bike route -- at both races they did a great job of managing the flow of traffic and allowing us to keep our pace without slowing. In general, your volunteers also do a fine job of encouraging racers throughout the race. Although I have been a spectator at events in the past, this has been my first season as a racer and I have been impressed by your personalized operation and the friendliness of your staff, especially Debbie -- she remembered my wife and me by first name from a previous event. We will definitely participate in more of your events in 2009.

First of all, GREAT event! That was so well run and organized, beautifully staffed with nice volunteers, easy as pie to know what to do and how to do it. Thank you!
I’ll be watching for more of your events for sure.

Also, many thanks for the Outback gift certificates, which I received because I am of “advanced” age (I’m your 50 year old). That was a very pleasant surprise and my family is looking forward to sharing them with me. My husband, who watches what I shell out in race fees with just cause, was especially pleased.

I hope you feel gratified by your event as well you should be. Please pass my words along to your FS Series team.

Best regards,
Mary Whitwell

The race was a blast! The volunteers were so wonderful, the venue was beautiful and I appreciate all your hard work-thank you!

See you soon,
Missy Grant

To the FS Series Crew,
I just want to thank you for a great first race experience! You all made it go very smoothly, despite the raging weather. I am still stoked about finishing(and a little stiff). I learned a ton during the race and got even more out of the stats that were posted on line.

Sincerely
Sarah Gardner #64

Great Job on the Race today!

It was a great event and was well organized.

Your volunteers were outstanding and gave plenty of direction and encouragement.

I look forward to future FS events, especially next year’s Challenge.

Thanks for a great event.

Best of luck !
Randy

To the FS Series Team,

It was our pleasure to help out, and we had a blast doing it, and cheering on the participants. Our son was in it also. But that was not the point. The point was to cheer all of them on and encourage and help where ever needed. We hope you will call on my husband and myself again next year. We got to meet so many at the parking lot before hand while parking them, then was called back to the pavilion to go on the bike route, but was not needed by the time we got there. So we just helped as the bikers were coming in to tell them to slow down and to help route the runners back in the right section and give them all encouragement as them came in and went out. We loved it. Thank you again.

Thanks for putting on a great Triathlon this past weekend. We headed down from Vermont to vacation in the Outer Banks (and get away from the snow that never melts), came across the triathlon during our planning stage and it was a great way to end our week stay. You all put a lot of work into setting things up, coordination of a lot of people and then taking it all down again. So thank you for your efforts and hopefully I'll be back!

~Debbie

Thanks for putting on the kid's triathlon yesterday in Nags Head. My
daughters had a ball and want to do more in the sport. Your crew made
for a safe, fun event appropriate for the youngsters. I hope there was
enough interest for you to continue to host this event in years to come.

Regards
Bob Boyce

I would like to give a grand thank you to FS Series for putting on such a great event. I participated in the Triangle Orthopedic Sprint Triathlon and it was a great event to be a part of. You guys were all
over the place asking how people finished with smiling faces a plenty. I have never had preliminary race reports posted so quickly…THAT ROCKS!!! Post-race food was good and plenty. Thanks to you guys for having Whole
Foods as a sponsor, I can’t remember the last time I ate so much peanut butter, bread, and delicious apples, etc. after a race. You guys really did a fantastic job. I am divinely spreading the word and wearing my FS
visor every time that I run. I look forward to racing in more of your events.

Thanks…You guys & gals ROCK

FSS team,

Thanks for another great race on Sunday! Your team did a great job at organizing the race and ensuring that everyone had a great experience. This is my second FSS race and I look forward to participating in future races (hopefully Washington ).

Thanks again for a great day.
Randy

Hi FS Series,

I just wanted to say thank you to your wonderful team out at Nelson's Bay. My chip/strap came off in my wet suit removal and I didn't notice it but your crew did on my way out with the bike and said go ahead, don't worry and you know what? When I came back into the transition area before I stepped on the mat, they had found it in my wet suit mess I guess and replaced it on my ankle and I got all my splits! That is what I call a full service race.

Thanks again,
Julee

As the Mayor of Washington Park, let me say that your efforts to make the inaugural triathlon a success were nothing short of outstanding. We had a number of anxious residents and cautiously optimistic Town Board members; all were impressed and hope to see you again next year.

Thanks....Thomas Richter

FS Series / Washington Chamber of Commerce:

I wanted to comment on the race this past weekend and make it a point of saying how wonderful the Washington venue turned out to be. The location and course was perfect. Thankfully, the residents of Washington Park allowed for such an event to take place in their backyards. The event seemed to go off without a hitch thanks to the obvious hardwork from the staff and volunteers. I hope that the Washington Chamber of Comerce and FS Series can continue to work together in order to keep this event in Washington.
A special thanks to the time keepers who were able to keep up with all my times, including splits and transitions, even though my timing chip came off in the water. The staff went out of their way to make sure my times were accurate. Amazing.
Thanks - Eric Burnworth

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know the triathlon yesterday was the best run event
I have ever done!!!

Thanks,
Olda Gardon

I competed in the Beaverdam triathlon yesterday and I just wanted to write to say how impressed I was with the event. I have done FS events before and they have always been great. This time, I was running late because I got slightly lost, so I ended up at the race about 15 minutes before start. The staff went out of their way to help me get my packet, my wetsuit and even helped carry my stuff to the transition area. I am so impressed and happy with the FS staff. They made a stressful situation much easier and helped me to have a great race. Thanks again for everything and please pass on my thanks to the volunteers who were at the race!
