Falls Lake-Beaverdam Recreation Area
Just moments away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Falls Lake is a great way to escape urban life. With a 12,000-acre lake and 26,000 acres of woodlands, Falls Lake State Recreation Area offers a choice of recreation areas Beaverdam, B.W. Wells, Highway 50, Holly Point, Rolling View, Sandling Beach and Shinleaf.
The swim will take place in Beaverdam Lake off the sandy beach of Beaverdam Recreation Area. The 1 mile swim will start and finish on the beach. The swim course will be rectangular shape. Participants will be grouped in wave starts that will leave every 3 minutes. The water temperature will be between 60-70 degrees making this a wetsuit legal swim.
The bike course will leave the Beaverdam Recreational Area and proceed North on 50. The course will feature fast flats, small climbs, and rolling terrain through Wake and Granville County.
The run course will be totally contained in the Beaverdam Recreation Area. The course will be a 2 lap out and back. The run will have a rolling design with 2 aid stations. The first aid station will be at the 1st lap turnaround and the 2nd aid station will be at the out turnaround.

The last day to register online for the Inside-Out Sports Olympic Triathlon at Beaverdam is Tuesday, April 6, 2010. On-site registration may be available if this event is not full, but your best bet is to register online.
A $10.00 fee (for USAT race day insurance) will be added if you are not a USAT member.
We will not be providing race maps or info sheets at packet pickup. Please print this info out if you need detailed race info!

• We have extended packet pickup to a 2-day process to try and eliminate issues the morning of the race. We understand that there are some exceptions but it helps to avoid the hustle of pickup the morning of the race. Email us if you need to signup or pickup your packet on Saturday.

Relays - Athletes can register as a relay team for the triathlon. Teams are comprised of three members, each member does one event; the swim, bike or run.

REFUND POLICY
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until March 22th, 2010. No refunds will be issued for any reason after March 22th, 2010. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. To request a refund you must complete the refund request form using the link below.
WEATHER POLICY
In the event of inclement weather the following procedures will be followed:
1. The event will be postponed until 8:45AM in hopes the inclement weather will pass.
2. If inclement weather does not pass by 8:45AM, the event will be changed to a duathlon format.
3. If a duathlon is not possible, the event will be cancelled and a 50% credit will be issued for all registered participants into the 2011 event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
4. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather prior to event weekend, a 50% credit will be issued for all registered participants into the 2011 event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
